We believe in collaboration. Together we will make Swedish fish farming even more sustainable.

Collaborations come in many shapes. Among others, we are involved in the project 5 ton grön fisk i disk (5 tons of green fish in the counter), where scientists, chefs, trade and industry work together to produce eco-friendly gourmet fish.

The project is initiated by Axfoundation and the Swedish Agricultural University, SLU, aiming to produce a sustainable and circular feed that will result in a tasty fish. At the moment, we evaluate the possibility to give the fish a feed based on insects, who were fed organic food waste such as peel, fruit core and bread.

To protect the good taste, the Restaurant and Hotel College at Örebro University is also involved. Would you like to know more about the project, read here. Or give us a call.

How We Think

One single fish farmer won't make all the difference. Since our mission is to cultivate Swedish quality fish in a sustainable and circular way, we have to look outside our own company. Only by collaborating with other farmers, science and authorities we can make Sweden’s aquaculture improve its imprint.

Through the Swedish trade organization Matfiskodlarna we participate in education programs and help to make way for a trade that is run, developed and allowed to grow in a sustainable way.

Älvdalslax AB

Älvdalslax is a sustainable fish farm in Northwestern Sweden. We cultivate and sell rainbow trout — from fry to fish to roe.
